Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the ages for volleyball?

Co-Ed   (Ages 10 – 12)  

Co-Ed   (Ages 13 -- 14)

Co-Ed   (Ages 15 – High School)

2. When is registration?

      Saturday, Jan 7^th 10:30am – 12pm

3. What is the cost?

      $35 (9-week season, Jersey, Team Picture, Trophy)

      Scholarships are available.  You will need to talk to Mike Gamage, the volleyball chairman, on registration day. 

You can call Mike at 704.689.1789 (cell) anytime; leave a message if no answer.

4. Can I register early?

      No… early registrations will not be accepted.

Please have a family member or friend bring the registration form by on Jan 7^th between 10:30am & 12pm. **

We must fill the league on a first-come, first-serve basis.

We highly recommend that your child attend registration day because of the skills evaluation. 

This is important to help us evenly distribute the teams.

5. How many nights a week?

      Typically, a team will practice twice a week for ~ 3 weeks and then begin playing games - 1-2 games per week.  

 Practice and game schedules, though, are driven by the number of teams we have for each league and can’t be guaranteed.

6. How long does the season last?

      Jan.7^th – Mar 9^th & 10^th (Finale Weekend).

7. Can my child be on her friend’s team?

      We strive to meet special requests, but we can not guarantee to fulfill each one.

      In some cases, this may hinder our attempts to evenly distribute the teams.

8. How can I get a Registration Form?

   Registration Day we will have forms for you to fill out OR

   Stop by the church office to pick one up OR

   Online at www.fpcstanley.org
