Give

Giving at FPC Stanley is simple and secure

Why we give

You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.

2 Corinthians 9:11

We give out of obedience to Scripture, we give out of a sense of gratitude, and we give in the knowledge that God will use temporary, finite resources to build an eternal, infinite Kingdom.

Ways to give

Don't forget to indicate in the dropdown, on the giving envelope, or memo line on the check if your gift is intended for a special purpose (example: Faith Promise, Mission Trips, Church Planting, etc.) Checks without a special designation will be recorded as a donation to the General Fund.

To receive the appropriate tax documentation, make sure the donor's name and address are identifiable on the check or the giving envelope. Please also include an email address and/or phone number so we can send your documentation.

Donate Online

Our secure online gift processor charges .25 per electronic check and 2.15% + .30 for each credit or debit card transaction. Donors are allowed to cover this charge with each gift. Using the link above, donors can give a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift. Recurring gifts can be set up with a frequency of Weekly, Every Other Week, Monthly or Twice-Monthly.

IRS regulations require the postmark stamped on the envelope to govern the year for which the gift can be credited. We are precluded by law from crediting in December any gift received by mail postmarked in January of the subsequent year.

Stock or Mutual Funds

Donations of appreciated securities (stock, mutual funds, bonds, etc,) may provide a greater tax benefit than personally liquidating the security and donating the proceeds directly. Please check with a tax professional before initiating any transfer of securities then coordinate the gift with our Treasurer.

Note that gifts of securities may take two to three weeks from the time the stock transfer is initiated and proceeds are credited to the donor's account. Please take this into consideration for any end-of-year gifts to ensure the gift can be received according to the donor's wishes.

Donor Advised Funds

Gifts to First Presbyterian via a Donor Advised Fund should be coordinated with the Treasurer to ensure the donation is handled according to the donor's wishes. Keep in mind that the tax receipt will be issued by the Fund, not First Presbyterian.
